CAIRO - 26 July 2018: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underlined the importance of finalizing the listing of 300 villages that need sanitation services.

He stressed the importance of accomplishing potable water and sanitation projects in line with the set timetable.

He made the remarks during a meeting on Thursday on following up a number of drinking water and sanitary drainage projects nationwide.

The chairman of the executive body of the National Authority For Potable Water and Sewage reviewed a report on drinking water and sewage projects in Monofya governorate.

He said 37 drinking water projects were accomplished in Monofiya out of a total of 45 at a combined cost of EGP 3 billion.

He added that 22 sewage projects were finalized out of a total of 32 at a combined cost of EGP 5 billion.

In Beni Suef, the first stage of a project for safe disposal of treated sewage water of Bayad al Arab industrial zone in Beni Suef was accomplished at EGP 45 million.

The talks also tackled several drinking water and sanitation projects in Ismailia.
