CAIRO – 21 July 2018: Al Azhar medical convoy to South Sinai continued on Friday its work for the fourth day in a raw, in which it has examined 2,400 patients and performed 24 surgeries in the governorate so far.

The convoy, organized by Al-Azhar in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, will stay in South Sinai until July 22, covering three major cities of Ras Sidr, Saint Catherine, and El-Tor.

The convoy includes 21 physicians from the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar University with various specializations, including otolaryngology, dentistry, pediatrics, dermatology, orthopedics, urology, gynecology and anesthesiology.

The convoy was sent to South Sinai upon instructions from Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, based on the humanitarian and social role played by Al-Azhar in Egypt and abroad.
