CAIRO - 8 July 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed on Thursday the importance of the new health insurance project for the Egyptian people.

The president made the remarks during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Head of Egypt's Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel and the ministers of finance, health and communications.

Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said the meeting came as part of the president's follow-up of the new comprehensive health insurance project, which was launched a few days ago.

During the meeting, the president ordered equipping hospitals in governorates with the latest techniques to provide high-quality services for citizens.

Sisi also ordered finalizing the medical examination campaign to test and treat Hepatitis C virus among Egyptians, particularly among young people and students.

He also directed to launch a project to improve the working environment for medical staff at hospitals in partnership with civil society organizations.
