CAIRO - 27 June 2018: The Prosecutor General Nabil Ahmed Sadek ordered carrying out advanced technical examinations to get first-hand information about the presence of gaps in the surveillance camera footage of the Cairo metro system on the day in which Italian research student Giulio Regeni disappeared.

Egyptian and Rome prosecutions issued a joint communique on Wednesday on examining the footage which revealed that they do not have the shots of Regeni as there were gaps in the footage.

The two prosecutions decided to hold another meeting following the advanced examinations to be carried out by the Egyptian general prosecution.
