CAIRO- 5 June 2018: President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi praised on Tuesday the important role played by the Egyptian diplomacy in defense of Egypt's interests abroad.
During a meeting with a number of ambassadors nominated to serve as heads of Egypt's diplomatic missions abroad, President Sis said the Egyptian diplomats are capable of conveying the civilized image of Egypt and its great history to the world.
The president stressed the need for continuing efforts to maintain balanced relations with all the world countries, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
He also called on the international community to mobilize its efforts to confront terrorism and reach political settlements to the Middle East crises.
The president further urged the Egyptian diplomats to work on conveying the real image of Egypt abroad and finding innovative solutions to the challenges facing Egypt.
The Egyptian diplomats, for their part, expressed their pleasure for representing Egypt abroad and stressed their keenness to work on achieving political and development goals of Egypt.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Head of Egypt's Intelligence Abbas Kamel.
