CAIRO - 1 June 2018: Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy participated in the last day of the international conference, co-hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) at FAO headquarters in Rome.

In a statement by the Ministry of Environment on Friday, the minister reviewed Egypt's efforts in the field of preparation of sustainable development strategy 2030, mechanisms of integrating the environmental dimensions into the various economic sectors.

In attendance of the director-general of FAO and more than 250 representatives of members states and experts, Fahmy briefed Egypt's readiness for hosting a conference on CBD by the end of the year in Sharm El Sheikh.
