CAIRO – 30 May 2018: Chairman of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) Ahmed Abdel Aal said on Wednesday that this summer will be hotter than last summer.

Abdel Aal added that the weather on Wednesday is springy throughout the country, with some rain on the northern coasts.

Recently, Egypt has witnessed a heat wave. It is recommended during such hot weather to drink plenty of fluids and avoid going out in the afternoon, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., where the heat is at its highest.

Egypt is an ideal example of a developing country that is highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change and faces numerous threats to its economic, social and environmental sustainability, including energy, water and food security.
