CAIRO – 28 May 2018: Egyptian football group and Zamalek loyal fans, UWK (Ultras White Knights), burnt their main banner Sunday in an act, known among football Ultras groups worldwide, as a self dissolution call.

The group members announced on UWK’s official page on Facebook that it will burn its official banner outside Cairo football stadium on Sunday. The group said, in press statements, that a decision was made to dissolve UWK until further notice.

Ultras Ahlawy group – hardcore fans Al Ahly football team- has previously announced their self-dissolution on May 16 and publicly burnt its banner.

Ultras Ahlawy published then a statement on their Facebook page saying that the decision was taken for the safety of the group members and society.

“We are supporting the state since our establishment and we will never be otherwise. We are a small part of Al-Ahly fans and we will never miss a game and will support the team,” the Ultras Ahlawy statement read.
