Cairo court enlists 20 MB members as terrorists

CAIRO - 12 May 2018: The Cairo Criminal Court has enlisted 20 Brotherhood group elements on terror list for five years.

In its decision, published in the official gazette on Saturday, the court said the defendants were charged with joining and leading the terrorist Brotherhood group and providing it with funds to carry out terror schemes and promote its ideologies.

In June 2017, the Cairo Criminal Court put 299 defendants on the terrorist entities list for three years, after allegedly joining a terrorist organization in Sinai. The ISIS-affiliated organization, which espouses takfiri ideas, has carried out several attacks against police and the Armed Forces. On Monday, the court heard the appeal introduced by 85 of the 299 defendants.
