CAIRO - 11 May 2017: Four extremists were killed, a small truck destroyed and another one loaded with narcotics was confiscated in central Sinai by the law enforcement troops of the Third Field Army, according to a statement by the Armed Forces spokesperson on Thursday.

The troops, in cooperation with the Egyptian Air Force, also raided terrorist hotbeds that resulted in destroying a motorbike used by terrorists, according to the statement.

The forces managed to torch 32 areas planted with marijuana along with two depots of the same plant ready to be distributed, the statement added.

West of Martyr Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel, personnel confiscated two vehicles carrying dangerous materials about to be used in making explosives.

An investigation was launched by concerned bodies with the drivers of the vehicles.

"Law enforcement troops continue their military crackdown on terrorist hotbeds," spokesperson clarified, adding that forces intensify their tight security on borders in order to terminate takfiri elements there.
