CAIRO – 10 May 2017: Yahya Saleh, a nephew of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and member of the General People’s Congress, emphasized deep mutual relations with Egypt as he concluded his visit to Cairo on Wednesday.

“We at the General People's Congress of Yemen hold love and respect for Egyptians and the Egyptian leadership,” Saleh said in a video statement. “We will not allow anybody to insult Egypt,” he added.
Saleh stressed that Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated media outlets aim at aggravating relations between Arab states to achieve the main target of their agendas, which is to destroy nations.

“We hope that our beloved Egypt will have a major role in ending the war in Yemen, while working on bringing back peace and harmony,” Saleh added, pointing out that Egypt’s leading role is the cornerstone of peace in the region.

Saleh arrived in Cairo via Lebanon to rally support against what he described as “an attack on Yemen” and to clarify his vision of recent events in the Arab region.
