CAIRO- 27 April 2018: Head of Saint Catherine's Monastery Anba Demianos said he feels safer in Sinai more than in his country Greece.

In statements on the sidelines of monastery of Margarges celebrations in Old Cairo, he underlined the depth of relations between monks of the monastery and Bedouins of Sinai.

They consider the monastery as part of their daily lives and protect and provide help to priests and visitors of the monastery, he added.

He said he owes his life to the armed forces for helping him when he fell from the elevator of the monastery two months ago, as he was rushed to El Galaa military hospital by a military plane to receive the necessary medical treatment.
