CAIRO - 8 May 2017: Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Sisi at the Sakhir Air Base, in the presence of an assembly of Bahraini officials including Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, First Deputy Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The assembly was accompanied by a rendition of the Bahraini national anthem and a short performance display by the country's national guardsmen.

Egyptian President Sisi and Bahraini King Al Khalifa hold a bilateral meeting followed by another meeting attended by delegations of both leaders, presidential spokesperson Alaa Yousef added.

During the meeting, Bahraini King Al Khalifa heaped praised on Egypt's revitalization efforts and on its important role among Arab countries, before shedding light on Bahrain's keenness on boosting bilateral relations between both states.

At the end of the meeting, King Al Khalifa granted President Sisi a national honor of the Order of Shaikh 'Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa' as a gesture of gratitude for Egypt's support of Bahrain.

Egyptian President Abdl Fatah Sisi arrived at the Bahraini city of Manama, the second destination of his Gulf tour, according to a presidential statement issued on Monday statement.
