CAIRO – 19 April 2018: Tarek Radwan, chairman of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, met with Niles Annen, minister of state at the German Foreign Office, in Berlin on Wednesday.

The meeting was also attended by Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Bader Abdel Aati. They discussed means of cooperation between the two countries and increasing German investments in Egypt, as well as ways of enhancing parliamentary coordination and regular consultations on regional issues.

Annen asserted the important role that Egypt plays in settling regional disputes, pointing out to its role in unifying the warring Libyan factions and the major Palestinian political movements.

He also stressed that Germany supports Egypt in its war on terrorism and combating illegal immigration.

Annen congratulated Radwan on the re-election of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to a second presidential term, referring to the strength of relations between the two countries.
