CAIRO – 18 April 2018: Abdul Razek al-Nadori, head of the Libyan General Staff, survived an assassination attempt by a car bomb that exploded while passing from the coastal road to the area of Sidi Khalifa in Benghazi on Wednesday, informed Libyan sources told Egypt Today.



The sources confirmed that Nadori was in good condition and that a number of security personnel were injured and taken to a hospital.

One citizen was killed and three others injured in the assassination attempt. Al-Jalaa Hospital for Surgery and Accidents received the injured, one of whom was in serious condition.

The sources clarified that security guards accompanying the convoy clashed with the terrorist elements after the assassination attempt.
