CAIRO – 4 May 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has concluded his two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he met Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The meeting was the center of attention of Emirati newspapers and media outlets, which shed light on the two countries’ historical relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Al-Ittihad Newspaper
The daily Al-Ittihad newspaper highlighted the deep ties between Egypt and the UAE, considering it the best Arab model for cooperation in different fields. The newspaper article emphasized that the UAE demonstrates great interest in supporting development projects in Egypt, particularly infrastructure mega projects among other economic sectors.

Since its establishment in 1971, the UAE established strong relations with Egypt that has developed at an unprecedented rate, the newspaper added.

Al-Bayan Newspaper
The weekly newspaper Al-Bayan focused on the remarks of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed who urged for more cooperation and solidarity among Arab countries to ensure stability and security of the region. Bin Zayed renewed his promises to support the Egyptian government and people, asserting the Egyptian role in promoting the region’s stability, al-Bayan said.



Al-Khaleej Newspaper
The newspaper shed the light on the anti-terrorism efforts that topped the meeting between the two Arab leaders. Bin Zayed extended his condolences to the Egyptian people over the recent terrorist attacks hitting Egyptian churches last month, calling for strengthening Arab cooperation in the face of violence and foreign interference threatening the region’s security.

Emarat Al-Youm Newspaper
The daily Emarat al-Youm newspaper reported that Sisi and Bin Zayed reviewed the situation in Yemen, Libya and Syria, and addressed the development of the crises facing the region. The Emirati leader highlighted his country’s co-ordination with regional and international powers, mainly Egypt, to reach effective solutions to such crises.
