CAIRO – 27 March 2018: Approximately 680 foreign correspondents continued their coverage of the second day of the Egyptian presidential election without facing any problems or difficulties in their visits to the polling stations across the nation, the State Information Service (SIS) said in a statement on Tuesday.

The SIS hailed as positive the foreign media coverage for delivering media material on the voters' celebrations inside the different constituencies in most Egyptian cities, the statement read.

As voting started, the SIS was keen to follow up what are published by the foreign media outlets, which reported no complaints or hurdles during their media coverage, the statement noted.

“Most foreign media outlets kept on asserting that the turnout will be the barometer of the process success and the winning president to be, not the percentage that the winner will get,” according to the SIS.
