Army: Arrangements completed for securing elections

CAIRO - 24 March 2018: The General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces on Saturday announced that all arrangements are complete for organizing and securing the coming presidential elections that will kick off on Monday for three days.

A released statement indicated that all arrangements for providing a safe atmosphere to voters to cast their ballots in the election are now complete in cooperation with the Interior Ministry agencies and other State departments concerned.

The army personnel are entrusted with protecting the citizens and standing up to any threats that could face voters during the elections, according to the statement.

The Armed Forces is participating in securing the elections with units of the Second Field Army and naval forces along with paratroops and rapid intervention forces, added the statement.
