CAIRO – 10 March 2018: Presidential hopeful and chairman of the Al Ghad (Tomorrow) political party, Moussa Moustafa Moussa, urged the 60 million eligible Egyptian voters to go and cast their ballots in the March presidential election.

During a press conference held by Moussa’s presidential campaign on Saturday, he said that intensive participation of Egyptians in the presidential election will overcome attempts by some states and terrorist groups, like the Muslim Brotherhood, to spoil the democratic process.

“I and President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi are contesting the election solely for Egypt, and not for the sake of anything else,” Moussa added, pledging to preserve Sisi’s achievements and continue down his path.

“If we would go shoulder to shoulder, we will be overcoming any impasse,” he added.

The spokesperson for Moussa’s campaign stressed that his candidate decided to join the race for a greater reason, one that is more important than the result of the election. “We decided to join the election to offer a model for political party heads who I believe will be encouraged to run in the upcoming election.”

The campaign of presidential candidate Moussa Mostafa Moussa affirmed that there are at least two million voters backing their candidate in the forthcoming election – most are members of the Arab tribes.

In a meeting held at the Ghad Party’s headquarters in Downtown Cairo on Saturday, which was set to organize the campaign to promote Moussa nationwide, Ossama al-Hawary, the party’s deputy head, said that sons of Arab tribes back Moussa for being a patriot working on rooting democracy and upholding the value of public work.

Sixty million eligible voters will cast their ballots in the election between March 26 and 28 in Egypt, while Egyptians living abroad will vote between March 16 and 18.
