CAIRO – 9 March 2018: Hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Interior received 3,000 women and conducted free medical checkups on them on International Women’s Day (IWD) Thursday, according to a statement.

General Magdy Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Interior, directed the hospitals affiliated with the ministry to conduct medical checkups on all the women that visit the hospital starting from Thursday to Saturday, as a way of celebrating IWD, Mothers’ day and Egyptian Women’s Day.

Hospitals of Alexandria, Asiut, Nasr City and El-Agouza in Cairo, have received 3,000 women and gave them the medicine they need for free.

The world celebrates International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 which is a time to reflect on the progress made, call for change and celebrate the determination of women who have shaped history.
