GENEVA - 5 March 2018: Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside the UN HQ in Geneva in protest at Qatar's support for terrorism.

The protesters held banners denouncing Doha's policies in the region and its violation of human rights.

The protest coincided with the 37th session of the UN Human Rights Council, which will last until March 23.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain had severed ties with Qatar last year because it supports and funds terrorism.

Howerver, on September 19, Hundreds of U.S. members of the civil society and the Arab community staged mass demonstrations outside the United Nations headquarters in New York to slam Qatar’s “support for terrorism” and its Emir Tamim bin Hama Al Thani, who is participating in the General Assembly.

The protesters argued that Al Thani’s participation in the 72nd General Assembly means endorsing Qatar’s stance in favor of extremism.

They expressed full solidarity with all European cities that have been the victims of Qatari proxy terrorism in Paris, London, Brussels, Berlin and Barcelona, as well as entire Arab countries.

The protesters called for international measures be taken against all Qatari leaders and figures and their assets in European and U.S. banks be frozen.
