LONDON - 3 March 2018: About 828 civilians have been killed in the shelling escalation in Eastern Ghouta, according to the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR).

The London-based observatory said that, among the killings, more than 100 persons were killed after the issuance of the UN Security Council resolution for a ceasefire in Syria, Sky News channel reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, airstrikes were resumed on Ghouta's areas of Hamuriya and Mesraba.

This comes as clashes continue between the Syrian governmental forces and militants of Jaysh al Islam at several fronts.
