CAIRO- 28 February 2018: Head of the National Media Authority Hussein Zein ordered Tuesday to suspend cooperation with the BBC until a further notice.

In a statement, the authority said the decision covers all aspects of media cooperation, including protocols and agreements.

Few days ago, the BBC aired a report on alleged cases of forced disappearances in Egypt, citing a case of a woman. Later, the woman refuted the BBC claims.

Earlier on the day, the State Information Service (SIS) called on Egyptian officials to boycott the BBC for its failure to apologize.
