CAIRO - 25 February 2018: Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa will inaugurate on behalf of the prime minister on Monday the 28th international conference of the High Council for Islamic Affairs.

The two-day event is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and will tackle dangers of terror and means to face it.

In a statement, Gomaa said that an intellectual, cultural, parliamentary, religious and social initiative will be launched during the conference to support the country's resistance in face of terrorism and extremist thinking.

The event will tackle the reasons behind terror and means of facing it from different religious, security, economic and parliamentary perspectives.

More than 40 countries will take part in the conference where 100 researches will be discussed.

Also, three debate sessions will be held to discuss the role of youth, media and women in spreading an anti-terror culture.
