CAIRO – 22 February 2018: Former head of Egypt's state Radio and TV Union Osama El Sheikh resigned from his post as a Chief Executive Officer in Egyptian Media Group on Wednesday due to personal reasons.

The former Minister of Investment and the current executive chairwoman of Eagle Capital, Dalia Khorshid, announced that El Sheikh will be replaced by Tamer Morsi to carry out his tasks as the new CEO of the Egyptian Media Group.

Getting to know the new CEO of the Egyptian Media Group

1- He is one of the most prominent and successful TV drama producers. He founded Synergy Productions, which produced widely-watched TV series, like 'Legitimate Right' and 'Dead Heart' in 2008, starring Sherif Mounir.

2- He produced several of Adel Imam's successful works, most notably 'The Naji Atallah Team.'

3- In December 2017, Morsi revealed that he will be launching a Film Production Company soon, after his great success in the television world.

4- He led last year's Ramadan race, which he entered with eight great works. These are: 'Nour's Energy,' 'Security Situation,''She's Crazy,' 'From Land to Air,' 'Adly Allam's Ghosts,' 'Village of Delhab ,' 'Dear God, I am Fasting,' 'Lamiee El-Kot.'

5- He has signed contracts for nine series for next Ramadan, securing the A-List actors.

6- He produced 'YES, I'M FAMOUS,' which featured several international mega stars, including Leonel Messi and Adel Imam.

Eagle Capital for Financial Investment has acquired in December 2017 the Egyptian steel tycoon Ahmed Abu Hashima’s shares in Egyptian Media Group.

The investment company had appointed El Sheikh as the CEO of the Media Group shortly after acquiring Abu Hashima's shares.
