ARISH - 14 February 2018: Sinai University postponed on Wednesday second semester classes for the second time due to security developments in North Sinai.

In a statement, the university said it is keen on the safety of all students so it will defer the beginning of the second semester classes till further notice.

As of Friday, the Armed Forces began a military operation dubbed "Comprehensive Operation Sinai 2018' to fight terrorism in North and Central Sinai and other areas in the Nile Delta and the desert areas west of the Nile Valley.

Earlier in the month, North Sinai Governor Abdel Fattah Harhour announced the postponement of study in all North Sinai schools until further notice.
