BAGHDAD - 31 January 2018: Egyptian presidential aide for national and strategic projects Ibrahim Mahlab discussed on Wednesday with Iraqi Minister of Construction and Housing Ann Nafia Awsi the reconstruction efforts in Iraq, particularly in the areas liberated from Daesh terrorist group.

Awsi underscored the importance of cooperation between Cairo and Baghdad, especially with regard to infrastructure, strategic projects and activating the role of investment in this regard, the Iraqi construction ministry said in a statement.

On that score, the Iraqi minister voiced her readiness to facilitate procedures for Egyptian companies seeking to work in Iraq.

The statement added that Mahlab will visit Mosul on top of a high-level delegation in the first visit to be made by a foreign delegation to the city since its liberation in July 2017.
