CAIRO - 23 January 2018: Egyptian Dar al-Ifta House has praised stances of EU foreign ministers, who stressed commitment to a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The observatory, in a statement Tuesday, also pressed for action to activate resolutions of the UN General Assembly against any measures meant to change the nature and demography of Al Quds.

Any such measures should be cancelled in line with relevant UN Security Council resolutions, the statement noted.

The observatory said that Washington's decision to recognize Al Quds as the capital of Israel was not well studied and would foment violence in the region.

That "random" decision can very well be used by extremists to manipulate Muslims' sentiments and drive some to conduct military operations under the pretext of defending Muslim and Arab sanctuaries, according to the observatory.

It urged Muslim and Arab countries and organizations to capitalize on international and European stances supportive of the Palestinian right and act to promote world rejection of the decision of US President Donald Trump.
