Activist Aya Hijazi leaves prison: Defense lawyer

CAIRO-April 19: Tahir Abu al-Nasr, lawyer of Aya Hijazi, who was acquitted of human trafficking charges, confirmed that she was already released on Tuesday after all legal proceedings were finalized.

“ We are waiting for the other defendants who are supposed to be released today, Including Aya Hijazi’s husband, Mohamed Hassanein ” Abu Al-Nasr added.
