Egypt, Italy probe efforts to combat illegal immigration

CAIRO - 17 January 2018: Immigration Minister Nabila Makram on Wednesday discussed with Italian Ambassador to Egypt Giampaolo Cantini steps to combat illegal immigration.

This came during their meeting in Cairo to review the conditions of the Egyptian community and exchanging the know-how on issues of mutual concern.

Minister Makran underscored the depth of strategic and historic relations binding Egypt and Italy, pointing out to the consensus among the leaderships of the two countries on fighting illegal immigration.

At the start of the meeting, Makram affirmed the positive relations between the two countries in the affairs of communities, topped by making the Egyptian and Italian driving licences equivalent.
