Social Media used to spoil Egyptian-Sudanese relations: MP

CAIRO – 17 April 2017: Member of Parliament Hatem Bashat said that social media could be used to spoil relations between Egypt and Sudan, he told Youm7.

He said that attempts to damage relations come on the back of a claim that Egypt has voted in favor of imposing sanctions against Sudan in the Security Council regarding the Darfur issue, which was denied by Egypt.

He said that Egypt and Sudan should not fall victims to such attempts that aim at igniting sectarian strife between either Egyptian Muslims and Christians or the Egyptian and Sudanese people.
