CAIRO - 3 January 2018: The cabinet approved a draft law on setting up the Supreme Council on Fighting Terrorism and Extremism to replace the current one according to the presidential decision No. 355/2017.

The council aims at rallying the institutional and societal endeavors to combat terrorism in order to enhance the state's ability to confront this dangerous phenomenon which threatens the homeland and citizens.

The council targets fighting extremism besides protecting rights and freedoms.

During its meeting under Acting Premier and Housing Minister Mostafa Madboli, the cabinet approved also a bill on regulating rules of the notaries in the new urban communities.
