Death toll of suicide blast in Afghanistan rises to 15

KABUL - 31 December 2017: At least 15 people were killed and 13 injured after a suicide blast struck a funeral in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad, Attaullah Khogyani, the spokesman for the provincial governor said

The attacker blew himself up as mourners gathered for the funeral of a former district governor at a local cemetery. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Russia Today reported.

Earlier Sunday, 12 people were killed in a suicide blast, targeting a funeral of a local official in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, while no group had claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
