RIYADH - 30 December 2017: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Arab Red Crescent (ARCO) and Red Cross Societies on Saturday denounced Friday's terrorist attack on Mar Mina Church in Cairo district of Helwan, which left several innocent people dead and injured.

In a statement, the organization strongly condemned targeting places of worship as such acts contradict with religious, human values and international conventions, topped by regulations of the international humanitarian law, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

It pointed out that eliminating terrorism requires rallying international efforts and coordination at all levels with the aim of facing all its forms, sources and tools.

The general secretariat of the federation including its national societies offered condolences to the Egyptian leadership, people and families of the victims who have been affected by such terrorist attacks aiming to undermine security and stability and spread chaos in the region.

It also extended condolences to the Egyptian Red Crescent which exerts tenuous efforts in responding to the calls of the injured, expressing appreciation to the humanitarian aid providers.
