RAMALLAH - 24 December 2017: The Palestinian Authority intends to take new measures against US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize al Quds as the capital of Israel, said Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Malki on Sunday.

The Palestinian Authority will continue to follow up the Palestinian State file with some European countries, Malki said, hoping the next months would see a breakthrough in this regard. Malki's remarks followed a UN General Assembly vote against Trump's move.

He made it clear that the Palestinian measures will include action inside the UN General Assembly and Security Council, as well as the International Criminal Court and Human Rights Council.

On Thursday, 128 countries voted in an extra-ordinary UNGA session against Trump's recognition of al Quds as the capital of Israel.
