CAIRO – 22 December 2017: The cost of Qatar funding terrorism is unbearable, as Qatar is affected by the boycott from the Arab quartet, as reports from Qatar’s Tourism Authority showed on Wednesday that visitors from Gulf states decreased 35% since 2016.

In the first nine months of 2017, visitors from Gulf states reached 703,000, compared to 1.09 million visitors in the same period of 2016.

Meanwhile, visitors from Arab countries also decreased in 2017 to 136,400 visitors, versus 166,500 in 2016. Also, visitors from Asian countries decreased 2%.

Qatar has been hit by its biggest diplomatic crisis in years after multiple Arab nations, including Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, cut ties with the country, accusing it of destabilizing the region with its support of Islamist groups.
