LONDON - 22 December 2017: British police were dealing with 'suspicious vehicle' left near Buckingham Palace in London late on Thursday and road closures were in place.

"Officers on routine patrol reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Hyde Park Corner," a spokesman for London police said. "Officers remain in attendance. Road closures are currently in place."

London's transport authority said Hyde Park Corner has been closed due to a police incident.

Queen Elizabeth is not at Buckingham Palace as she travelled to her Sandringham estate in eastern England earlier on Thursday for the Christmas holiday.
