BAGHDAD - 17 December 2017: Iraqi forces cleared 25 villages in Diyala province from militants and terrorists, according to a statement on Sunday by the Iraqi Ground Forces Command on Sunday.

With the participation of the Popular Mobilization Forces, known as Hashd el Shaabi, the Iraqi forces carried out a wide-scale search operation in the villages.

The forces destroyed 15 explosive devices, two booby-trapped motorbikes, two trenches and three tunnels.
