CAIRO – 14 December 2017: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday that Palestinians should admit the truth and work on achieving peace instead of escalating the situation.

“The truth will (prevail) in the end. Many countries will recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and will move their embassies to it,” Netanyahu added.

Amid regional and international condemnations of Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Netanyahu said: “All these statements do not have any effect on us.”

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday, the Trump administration's decision was the "greatest crime" and a flagrant violation of international law.
