Egyptian Catholic Church releases official logo for Pope Francis’s visit to Egypt

CAIRO – 2 April 2017: The Egyptian Catholic Church has released a promotional image for Pope Francis’ upcoming visit to Egypt on April 29, the

The logo, released March 31, is inspired by the slogan for Francis’s visit, “Pope of Peace in Egypt of Peace.”

The logo features Francis’s face on the background of the Pyramids of Giza and the Nile River, as well as a cross and a crescent moon symbolizing the unity of Egypt’s Christians and Muslims.

Francis is set to meet with Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayeb and Pope Tawadros II of the Coptic Orthdox Church of Alexandria.
