CAIRO – 13 December 2017: The Criminal Court of El Nozha sentenced the Egyptian singer Shima and director of her clip “Andy Zrouf” (I Have Issues) to two years in prison and fined them LE 10,000 each for incitement to debauchery and publishing an anti-public chastity video.

Shima, 21, confessed before Deputy Attorney General Moataz Zakaria that she dreamed of fame so she made this video and was unaware that the video would raise all the fuss adding that she was a tool in the director's hand.

Shima left Tanta city after her father's death and decided to enter the acting and modeling fields. She previously participated in the Arab Idol competition.

Shima has been officially excluded from Egypt’s Association of Musicians, headed by Hani Shaker. The singer was announced to be a non-permanent member, according to Shaker.

Many members of the parliament called for Shima’s arrest and banning her from singing. “That is a short porn movie, not an ordinary song,” said Galal Emara, MP and deputy of the Parliament’s Culture and Media committee.
