CAIRO – 9 December 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed the importance of preserving the territorial unity of Libya, Minister of Finance Osama Hamad of the Libyan Government of National Accord stated in a press statement Saturday.

Sisi met with Hamad on Friday at the sidelines of the 2017 Africa Forum held in Sharm El-Sheikh.

During their meeting, Sisi stressed that Libya should work on preserving its stability, expressing Egypt’s support of Libya given the social historical relations that the two countries share.

On December 7, the 2017 Africa Forum, “Business for Africa, Egypt and the World”, kicked off in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh and is set to end on Saturday.

The forum was attended by six African heads of state, governments and ministries from various African countries as well as representatives of Egypt’s development partners and high-level figures in the business field from Egypt, Africa and worldwide with the goal of promote investments for inclusive growth.
