NEW YORK, Dec 6 (MENA) - Yemen's permanent representative to the United Nations Khaled Hussein Alyemany said Houthi militias killed in cold blood more than 1000 military and political leaderships of the General People's Congress and presidential guards over the past two days.

In statements to Al Arabiya Al Hadath, Alyemany said killing operations are going on around clock.

He referred to statements delivered by UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed during the UN Security Council meeting on Houthi operations meant to liquidate GPC members in Sanaa.

Ex-Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh Saleh was killed on Monday in a roadside attack amid fierce clashes between his supporters and the Houthis in Sanaa.

Houthi leaders accused Saleh of "treachery", after he switched to the government's side in the civil war.
