Minister of Endowments re-mandates President al-Sisi

CAIRO – 29 November 2017: Egyptian Minister of Endowments Mohammed Mokhtar Jomaa said that the country is living a very difficult time that requires “sincerity with God, sincerity with the homeland, and honesty with one’s self.”

During the celebration of the Ministry of Endowments on the anniversary of the birth of the noble Prophet, Jomaa affirmed to Sisi Egyptians’ support to his leadership; indicating that Egyptians re-mandated him for a new term.

“All Egyptians are behind you, Mr. President. We all support you for your great efforts and we re-mandate you again,” added Jomaa.

Jomaa confirmed that the Ministry of Endowments is doing its best to renew religious discourse by holding courses and camps all over the country.

Mohammed Mokhtar Jomaa, minister of Endowments, presented a copy of the Holy Quran to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi during the celebration.

During the celebration, Sisi honored some religious figures for their efforts including Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Bahrain, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Nahyan, for his efforts towards Egypt, his support of Islamic and joint Arab action in confronting terrorism.

Ahmed Omar Hashim, a member of the Supreme Council of Al-Azhar Scholars, and former President of Al-Azhar University was also honored along with Mohamed El-Bashary, a French-Moroccan scholar, secretary-general of the French Muslim Federation and member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Egypt.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Minister of Endowments Mohammed Mokhtar Jomaa, and Mufti of the Republic Shawki Allam attended the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.
