.

The decision was made during a meeting between Ismail and tourism investors in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday.

The council is mandated to develop marketing and promotional plans for Egypt as a touristic destination, Kamal Abu Ali, chairman of the Red Sea Investors Association who attended the meeting, told Al Borsa.

“It has been agreed to study the repercussions of the

governmental decision

to increase visa prices and submit the outcome to the cabinet within 48 hours,” Abu Ali said.

The council includes the ministers of tourism and aviation, the governors of South Sinai, The Red Sea and Luxor governorates, and seven investors in the tourism sector.

Tourism investors requested the postponement of the sector’s debts to government agencies until the end of December 2017, and Ismail promised to look into it to ease investor burdens.
