CAIRO – 25 November 2017: In a series of Tweets on Friday, Dubai Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan launched a searing attack against the Qatari regime as he claimed it plotted for the recent Al-Arish terrorist attack against Al-Rawda Mosque on Friday.

A bomb and gun assault on al-Rawdah mosque in north Sinai killed at least 235 people and injured 109 others on Friday as a group of terrorists stormed the mosque in west Arish City in four off-road vehicles and opened fire on worshipers during Friday prayers.

“The blood of al-Rawdah mosque martyrs must not go in vain, Qatar should be held accountable as it incites and aids undermining Egypt’s security,” Khalfan tweeted. “The Qatari regime is responsible for the crime at al-Rawdah mosque.”

Khalfan also offered his deep condolences to families of the victims.

“We know well that Qatari people are not satisfied with how the regime supports and aids the Muslim Brotherhood,” Khalfan added. “However, this satisfies Qaradawi, Beltagy, Mohamed Morsi and Ansar Bait al-Maqdis.”

Khalfan also slammed Al Jazeera channel and its presenters including Ahmed Mansour and Faisal al-Qasimi and called for their inclusion in terrorism lists.

In a Friday TV statement, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed that the “cowardly” attack reflects how much inhumane the perpetrators are, asserting that this will not pass without decisive punishment and that justice will be served against everyone who participated, contributed, supported, funded or incited this attack on worshipers.
