CAIRO – 25 November 2017: The first visit of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to Oman that was scheduled to take place on Sunday is postponed because of the attack that hit a mosque in Al-Arish that left 235 dead and 109 injured, according to informed sources.

The visit was scheduled to last three days during which he will meet Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

The Omani media declared earlier that Sisi will discuss during the visit bilateral and regional issues of mutual concern, especially the Palestinian issue, the developments in the Syrian crisis and ways to face the dangers that surround the Arab region.

The attack took place during the Friday Prayers held at the Al-Rawdah Mosque located in west of Al-Arish; the mosque was damaged as a result of the bomb.
