MOSCOW - 24 November 2017: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano during his working visit to Rome on December 1, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova was cites by TASS as saying on Thursday.
"On December 1, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will pay a working visit to the Italian Republic, within the framework of which he will hold negotiations with the Italian minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, the spokeswoman said.
He said the ministers will focus in the implementation of the agreements reached at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s talks with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in April and Prime Minister Paolo Paolo Gentiloni.
"Looking into foreign policy issues, they will discuss ways for the settlement of crisis situations in Syria, Libya, Ukraine, the situation on the Korean peninsula, cooperation with Italy within the framework of multilateral formats, including the UN and the OSCE," Zakharova said. She said Lavrov will also take part in the third international conference Rome Mediterranean Dialogues.
