CAIRO - 21 November 2017: The Tourism and Civil Aviation Committee of the parliament, headed by Sahar Talaat Mostafa, on Tuesday agreed on a bill submitted by the government to amend some provisions of civil aviation law.

The bill includes adding an article, prohibiting directing lights and radiation from specific kinds of laser pens which threaten the safety of air navigation.

Fines, between EGP 20,000 and 100,000, will be imposed on whoever violates the ban. The penalty, in case of repeating the violation, is imprisonment for not less than six months and not more than two years.
