RAMALLAH – 16 November 2017: The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) said on Thursday that the Israeli military authorities issued 24 administrative detention orders against Palestinians since the beginning of November that included one woman.

PPS attorney Mahmoud Halabi said Bushra Tawil, a released prisoner from al Bireh, received a six month administrative detention order. She was detained on November 1.

He said 10 of the orders were passed against Palestinians detained for the first time or re-detained after they were released. The rest were renewed for the second or more times.

Palestinians held in administrative detention are not charged nor receive a trial.
